Due to high demand, Thompson Rivers Parks and Rec have opened 40 more spots for a free fishing clinic and derby this Saturday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Centennial Lake (next to the MAC) in Milliken. This event is open to ages 5-15 and is in partnership with the Colorado Department of Wildlife. Clinic topics include: laws and regulations, casting, knot tying, fish identification and conservation, ecosystems, angling, as well as fish handling and cleaning.
Bait and fishing poles will be available for free on a first come first serve basis while supplies last. Prizes will be awarded for a variety of categories. To register, go to: https://bit.ly/trprfi shingclinic.
