He truly enjoyed the outdoors with fishing, boating and camping. He had a love for animals that began when he showed horses. He was a member of POA Organization (Pony of America.) A proud moment for him was when he rode a Supreme Champion horse named “Drip”. His love for the outdoors also helped with his career as a directional driller in the oil production industry.

Shawn married Regina Mares. They had two daughters, Adri and Kati. Both Adri and Kati graduated from Roosevelt High School just like their dad, but quite a few years later. Shawn and Regina later divorced.

Shawn met and married Jennifer Woods. They had five children together, Tristen, Lestat, Arwen, Orrionna and Brett. They resided in Missouri on an acreage to have (you guessed it) animals. Shawn and Jennifer later divorced.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Oliver and Ethel Mehl, and Bill and Ellen Mansfield; and his mother, Sharon Mehl.

Shawn is survived by his father, William Mehl (Connie); brother Gary Mehl (Gloria), brother Mark Mehl (Tami); children, Adri Kissick (Stuart), Kati Walters (Kyle), Tristen Mehl (Johnni), Lestat Mehl (Maddy), Arwen Mehl, Orrionna Mehl and Brett Mehl; seven grandchildren; aunts; uncles; cousins and good friend, Cheryl Curtis (Keith).

He is missed now and will be missed forever. He may be out of our sight, but forever in our memories and heart.
