STUART

STUART

Juanita Rose Stuart, age 62, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, at Pikes

Peak Hospice and Palliative Care in Colorado Springs. She was born on April 23, 1963, in Greeley to Juan and Rosa Troncoso.

Her gentle spirit, strength and warmth touched many lives. Juanita will be remembered for her kindness, resilience, and deep love for her family and community.

She married her beloved husband, Robin Stuart, on October 1, 1988. She is survived by her husband; her mother, Rosa Troncoso; her sisters, Catherin Bejamin (Mark), and Patricia Ramerez; many nieces and nephews; and loving uncles, Sonny Lovato, Rick Maestas and wife Roberta. Also a very special aunt to whom Juanita was especially close, Frances Vigil, of Colorado Springs.

Juanita was raised in Johnstown where she graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1981. She studied at the University of Northern Colorado and Aims Community College, both in Greeley. She later moved to Colorado Springs where she was employed by Western Forge. A devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, she taught catechism for several years and was deeply involved in her faith community.

Juanita had a love for art and music and she found joy in traveling and exploring new places. She was also an avid crafter, cook, crocheter, and seamstress. Her talent and care were most evident in the beautiful handmake quilts and blankets she created for her nieces and nephews – treasured gifts that will be cherished for years to come.

A Catholic Mass and Rosary will be held at Sacred Hearth Catholic Church in Colorado Springs on August 8. At her request, her ashes will be laid to rest next to her special cousin, Lorri Vigil, at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Colorado Springs.

Her life will be honored and celebrated by all who knew her.
