Ray Townsend, 60, passed away on June 8, 2026, due to complications from surgery.

Born on October 21, 1965, and raised in upstate New York, Ray lived a life defined by service, innovation, and devotion to family. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps in artillery before building a successful career in plastics and injection molding, specializing in medical components.
Known for his ingenuity, Ray held several patents and was respected by colleagues throughout his career, including his work with Cambridge Security Seals.
In 1989, Ray married the love of his life, Cheryl. Together they shared 37 years of marriage and raised three children in Colorado. Family was the center of Ray’s world, and he took great joy in spending time with his grandchildren.
Ray was an avid hunter, motorcycle enthusiast, and lifelong learner with a passion for new technology. He was known for his generosity, sharp problem-solving skills, and willingness to help anyone in need.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; children, Brianna (Caleb) Onley, Katy (Selso) Luna, and Zahne Townsend; grandchildren, Railey, Alden, and Rosalie; mother, Jean Townsend; brother, Cliff Townsend; and many extended family members and friends.
Ray will be remembered for his unwavering love, kindness, humor, and the lasting impact he made on all who knew him.
