Faye Merlyn (Bailey) Davis

Faye Merlyn (Bailey) Davis, 83, of Johnstown, formerly of Fort Collins, passed away at Medical Center of the Rockies on May 11, 2026. She was born on May 1, 1943, in Hollywood, California, to Roy Lee “Merle Jerome” and Rhodabelle (Cutshall) Bailey. The family moved to Timnath when she was very young and settled in Fort Collins.
Faye moved to Breckenridge with family where she graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1961. She met Robert Davis in Fort Collins and they got married in 1961. They later divorced.
She worked for Teledyne Water Pik, Department of Motor Vehicles in Fort Collins, Wal-Mart, and at Steele’s Market in the deli food preparation.
Her hobbies include crocheting and ceramics in her early years. She loved watching her son drive race cars, playing cards with family, as well as a good romance novel. Faye also supported the ASPCA to help stop animal cruelty.
Thankful to share her life are her children, Troy (Shauna) Davis and Crystal (Marty) Jones; her seven grandsons, Tyler, Lance, Damon, Brock, Hayden, Nick, and Hunter; her 10 great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Bradon, Dominic, Emma, Riley, Talen, Kaylee, Maggie, Benson and Henry; her siblings, Victoria (Dave) Cooley, Bonnie Vail, and Linda (Frank) Palmer; as well as nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Peggy Sue, who will be taken care of by family alongside her siblings.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sandy Cordova.
Faye’s Life Celebration will be held at 11 a.m. June 7 at the Johnstown Senior Center. Inurnment will be held at Grandview Cemetery in Fort Collins.
