Elizabeth Ann Carpenter, 69, of Johnstown died at her home on April 28, 2026, surrounded by family and friends. She was born April 5, 1957, in Webster Springs, West Virginia, to Elma Lea Coakley, where she was raised and attended schools.

Her mom met Ross Blondeaux in West Virginia and in 1969 they all moved to Colorado, locating in Johnstown. She moved back to West Virginia for a short time, where she met Harry Carpenter. They married and had a son, Justin, and moved back to Johnstown in 1974. They later divorced after 13 years, remaining friends.

Liz moved to Windsor, Fort Collins and Denver where she worked as an industrial seamstress, fabricating motorcycle helmets, car liners and seating materials. She moved back to Johnstown in 2023 to help care for her mother.

She enjoyed camping and fishing and was a free spirit.

Thankful to have shared her life are her son, Justin Carpenter and his partner, Jerry; a grandson, Pierce Nally of Nebraska; her friend, Craig Harmon; as well as cousins and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her aunts and uncles.

Cremation will be completed and her family will host a private event. Condolences may be shared at youngsfunerals. com.
