Fred Lee Palmer passed away peacefully on the morning of April 14, 2026, in Englewood, Colorado. He most recently Colorado, and spent much of his life living in both Colorado and Nebraska.

Fred is survived by his sisters, Kymetta Palmer and Judith Buch-Cain; his son, Alan Palmer; his daughter, Laura Kenney; his grandchildren, Trevor, Jordyn, Taylor, and Triston; and his great-grandchild, Lakelyn.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Palmer; his father, Fred Palmer; his brother, Robert Palmer; and his wife, Myrna Palmer.

Fred took great pride in his career in education, most notably serving as Superintendent for Weld County School District RE-5J in Johnstown-Milliken from 1986 to 1995. This role stood as one of his most meaningful accomplishments and reflected his dedication to his community and to the field of education.

He will be laid to rest at Ridge Cemetery in Fremont, Nebraska, beside his beloved wife.

He will be remembered by his family and those who knew him for his life, his work, and the legacy he leaves behind.
