MONTGOMERY
MONTGOMERY

Ryan was born on February 5, 1971, in Ogden, Utah, the son of Janice Weeks, and was raised in Vernal, Utah. He shared a very close bond with his grandfather, Russell, who introduced him to hunting and fishing and helped foster Ryan’s lifelong love of the outdoors. In recent years, Ryan made his home in Loveland.
Ryan found his greatest peace in nature. Whether hunting, fishing, horseback riding, or simply enjoying the quiet of the outdoors, he felt most at home surrounded by the beauty of the world. He lived a life grounded in simplicity, strength, and genuine care for the people closest to him. Ryan always had a joke to share – whether it was funny or perfectly “Ryan” – and that was just part of his unique spirit.
His family meant everything to him, and he showed his love not only through words but through quiet acts of care, loyalty, and unwavering presence. Ryan was a constant husband to his wife, Carol; a proud father to his daughter, Sloane Ashley; and a loving grandfather to his grandson, Amir Russell, whom he affectionately called his “best friend.”
He is survived by his wife; daughter; grandson; sisters, Kristie (Raul) Herrera and Camie (Craig) Wesselman; sister-in-law, Barbara (Tony) Patton; nephew, Brett (Makyna) Parks; nieces, Megan OBITs

and Baylee Wesselman, Erin Parks, and Chloe Patton; and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Kay Montgomery; his father in-law and mother inlaw, Tom and Ursula Williamson; his grandparents, John Russell and Edith Montgomery; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Ryan will be remembered for his kind heart, his gentle generosity, and the laughter and love he brought into every room.
A celebration of Ryan’s life will be held on April 11 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Searle Pavilion in Vernal, Utah.
