Lisa Marie Dawkins of Johnstown, age 62, died peacefully in her sleep on November 29, 2025. Lisa was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on April 5, 1963, to Arlene Smith and James Eide. Both her parents died when she was a young teen, so she moved to a girls’ home in Atchison, Kansas, where she also graduated from high school.

In 1985, Lisa moved to Denver while married to her first husband, Dale Baze, whom she met while working as a cross-country truck driver. After their divorce, she attended Red Rocks Community College for a period. In 2005, she met Curt Dawkins, and they moved in together in Fort Collins shortly afterward, before settling into their house in Johnstown a year later. They spent the next 20 years happily together, getting married in a small ceremony in 2009.

Curt and Lisa retired in 2015 from the U.S. Postal Service and the United Parcel Service, respectively. Since then, they have spent their days caring for their grandchildren, their dog, and two cats. Lisa lived a happy life, filled with loving friends and family. She enjoyed spending her time crocheting, doing arts & crafts, and cheering for her beloved Denver Broncos. She also treasured spending sunny afternoon days fishing at lakes and reservoirs in the area. Her favorite place to fish, though, was at Red Feather Lakes.

Lisa is survived by Curt (72) and her three children: Kyle White, his wife, Stacey, and their daughter, Charlotte;
