This item perhaps falls under the category of “news that thankfully wasn’t news.” Johnstown Police said in a press releasee that they responded to multiple Safe-2Tell reports indicating a potential threat to Roosevelt High School last week. “It has been determined that there is no credible threat to the school after a thorough investigation in collaboration with the Weld RE-5J School District,” according to the release. Just to be on the safe side, and reassure students, staff and parents, the JPD stepped up their presence on campus.
“We encourage students, parents, and community members to remain vigilant and to continue utilizing the Safe2Tell program to report any concerns about safety,” the release said.
