Roosevelt High School senior Maile Sedey has been named the Johnstown-Milliken Rotary Student of the Month for October, recognized for her dedication to community service, leadership, and commitment to making a lasting impact beyond her high school years.
Maile has been involved in community service since childhood, beginning with a tradition in her 4-H club that continues to influence her approach to service today. At Roosevelt High School, she has continued building on that foundation through her involvement in HOSA, Roosevelt Robotics, National Honor Society, RHS Swimming and Diving, Interact Club, and 4-H. Among these activities, HOSA has played a particularly important role in shaping her understanding of leadership and community service. Through the organization, she has participated in service initiatives including blood, coat, and bandage drives, first aid restocking, first responder events, and vision and hearing screenings throughout the district.
