JOHNSTOWN – A recall petition seeking to remove Mayor Michael Duncan from office was submitted last week, according to Town Clerk Meghan Martinez.
Martinez said last week that the petition, with 559 signatures, was turned in by the deadline. The petition needs 490 verified signatures to move forward. She said that per the Johnstown Charter the number is calculated as 25 percent of the total votes cast for the position at the last election in which the position was up for election.
