Last Friday night’s matchup of Roosevelt versus Windsor was not only a great night for a football game, it was also a night of remembrance for the heroes and victims of the 9/11 attacks back in 2001.
Through the co-operation of both the Windsor and Roosevelt communities the schools were able to put on a tremendous presentation commemorating the heroes and victims that lost their lives that day. They also honored both communities’ military and first responders by having them presented to fans before the game and involving them in the pregame coin flip.
