September is National Cholesterol Education Month. The Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment (WCDPHE) is encouraging residents to know their cholesterol numbers and take steps to protect their heart health.
According to the 2025 Weld Community Health Survey, 30.8 percent of Weld County adults reported being diagnosed with high cholesterol. About 64.4 percent said they had their cholesterol checked.
