Roosevelt High School’s Interact Club is beginning its sixth year of partnering with the Weld RE-5J School District and the Johnstown Community YMCA to support Hunger Heroes, a weekend food assistance program that helps provide food to local students when they are away from school.
Each week, Hunger Heroes volunteers pack bags of food for students throughout the district to take home over the weekend. Interact students typically help pack 180 bags of food, working alongside community volunteers.
