Weld County Government has announced the launch of its first-ever citizens’ academy. This five-week academy will offer residents the opportunity to learn about county programs and initiatives directly from department directors as well as better understand how county tax dollars are used to provide services to Weld County residents.
“This is a great opportunity to build a connection with county residents,” said Weld County Commissioner Chair, Scott James. “We know there are questions, and even some confusion, about what county government does, and how county government’s role is different from municipal government’s role, so we are excited to bring this program to residents.”
