Weld County is accepting applications from residents interested in serving on a county board or commission. These volunteer positions provide an opportunity for community members to share their expertise, represent local interests and help shape county programs, services and policies.
Current vacancies include: -- Area Agency on Aging Advisory Board: three general members -- Board of Adjustment: one resident living within Weld County (At-Large) -- Board of Public Health: one resident living within Advisory Board District 4 (serving the portions of Greeley and Evans east of 14th Avenue, along with the Kersey, Gill and Barnesville school districts); and one resident living within Weld County (At-Large) -- Building Trades Advisory Committee: one builder, designer, or mechanical engineering professional (alternate member) -- Extension Advisory Council: one resident with crop science experience -- Human Services Advisory Commission: two Private Sector Representatives -- Juvenile Community Review Board: one Bar Association Representative (alternate member); and one law enforcement representative (alternate member) -- Noxious Weed Management Advisory Board: one regular member; and two alternate members -- Weld County Fair Board: two regular members -- Workforce Development Board: one business representative with an agriculture background; and two workforce or private sector representatives “Our boards and commissions play an important role in helping shape the future of Weld County,” said Commissioner Chair Scott James. “Whether you bring professional insight or simply a desire to serve your community, your voice and perspective can make a meaningful difference.”
