Time to tend your family tree.
The public is invited to join the Johnstown Historical Society and the YMCA for a free two-day genealogy workshop to learn both traditional research techniques and today’s latest AI and DNA tools to uncover your family’s past. The workshop will be held August 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. and August 8 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Johnstown Community YMCA. This workshop is part of the historical society’s efforts in 2026 to commemorate America’s 250th and Colorado’s 150th anniversaries, and it will help you explore how your family stories connect to the larger American and Colorado story.
