MILLIKEN – The Board of Trustees met on July 8 for a regular meeting and discussed the hiring of a new town administrator as well as an amendment to help the Milliken Festival Committee work on planning events like Beef n’ Bean Day.
Trustees passed an amendment that addressed challenges that the Milliken Festival Committee has encountered, including requiring seven members to be in attendance to complete business. The committee found that it was difficult to get work done with all members in attendance and the amendment would allow for more flexibility if the number of members falls below seven. It also ensures that the committee will be functional in the future if the number of members falls below seven.
