JOHNSTOWN – With the prevalence today of home security cameras, the Johnstown Police Department is looking to partner with residents to help find and fight crime as part of its Community Camera program.
The program aims to enhance public safety and deter crime by fostering collaboration between the Johnstown Police Department and residents. It is a voluntary partnership between the police department and local camera owners. Participants share the locations of their cameras with the police department. When a crime occurs nearby, an officer or detective may reach out to see if your camera footage captured the incident.
