JOHNSTOWN – The Town of Johnstown has announced its receipt of the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). This is the third year in a row the town has received this accolade and underscores its unwavering dedication to the highest standards of governmental budgeting, according to a press release from the Town.
To earn this honor, Johnstown’s budget was evaluated against nationally recognized guidelines that measure the effectiveness of a budget as a policy document, financial plan, operations guide, and communications tool. The town’s budget met all criteria with proficiency.
