MILLIKEN – The Board of Trustees met on April 8 for their first regular meeting of the month. The board read two proclamations before moving on to action items.
The first proclamation declared April 24 as Arbor Day in Milliken. During the proclamation reading, Mayor Elizabeth Austin encouraged residents to celebrate by supporting efforts to protect trees and woodlands as well as planting trees. The town will hold an Arbor Day celebration April 24 at 10 a.m. at Lola Park. The public is invited to participate.
