Kraemer North America LLC will build a roundabout at the intersection of Weld County Road (WCR) 54 and WCR 13. Last week, the company was awarded the project contract by the Weld County Board of Commissioners for $14,916,360.60.
According to a press release from Weld County, the roundabout, identified as a capital improvement project by the Weld County Department of Public Works, is being constructed to enhance safety and efficiency at the busy intersection northeast of Johnstown. More than 10,000 vehicles use the intersection daily and, with broadside accidents a major concern, a roundabout was chosen as the best safety enhancement.
