MILLIKEN – February 11, at its regularly scheduled meeting, the Milliken Board of Trustees approved the Bernhardt Sand and Gravel Pit Site plan submitted by W.W. Clyde & Co. The company plans to extract sand and gravel that will be used to build roads and as construction aggregate.
The town received the application to construct and run a sand and gravel mining facility on about 133 acres of land located south and west of the intersection of Weld County Roads 25 and 46. The South Platte River is located about 880 feet south of the property.
