The School Board approved a funding request from the Roosevelt High School cheer team during the Weld RE-5J School Board meeting on January 7.
A representative from the cheer team explained to the board that the $4,000 funding request would be used to cover the cost for two coaches to attend the High School Cheer Nationals in Orlando in February. According to the funding request document, the total cost for coaches to attend came to $11,314.
