The Johnstown-Milliken Rotary Club is proud to recognize Emma Jex, a senior at Roosevelt High School, as the December Rotary Student of the Month. Emma was selected for her academic dedication, leadership, and the heartfelt way she embodies the Rotary ideal of Service Above Self – both in the classroom and out of the classroom.
With just five months left in her senior year, Emma is still exploring her college options, but one direction has remained clear – she is determined to pursue a future in the medical field. Her experiences at Roosevelt have helped guide that path. Through the Health Sciences Career and Technical Education Pathway, Emma has immersed herself in rigorous, hands-on learning. She has taken Sports Medicine, UNC Biology, Introduction to Behavioral Health, and UNC Intro to Anatomy & Physiology, each course strengthening her passion for understanding the human body and her desire to care for others.
