JOHNSTOWN – At the previous regular Johnstown Town Council meeting on November 3, a zoning request made by Hartford Homes failed to pass a majority vote. The council moved on from the item without approving or denying the request, so the item was brought back to the council on Monday night.
The zoning request from Hartford Homes aimed at amending the Granary Outline Development Plan to include additional housing options. Hartford Homes representatives previously stated that there were a total of three active oil and gas facilities located in the development which required signifi cant setbacks. This meant that homes were not allowed to be constructed anywhere near the wells.
