Local resident George Crawford is a rock star. This November, the Glenn A. Jones Library in Johnstown is delighted to showcase his striking geological collection. His fascination with rocks and minerals began as a fun outlet for his endless curiosity, or as he jokes, because he has “ADHD.” What started as a casual pastime soon became a passion for discovering and collecting unique specimens. At home, they fill his living room, but this month he’s kindly sharing them with the library and his fellow residents.
