The first stage of roundabout construction in the High Plains Boulevard project will result in the temporary closure of Weld County Road (WCR) 34 between the east I-25 frontage road and WCR 13. It was approved last week by the Weld County Board of Commissioners and will begin October 20 and go through December 22. Detours can be viewed on the Weld County Road Advisory Map.
According to a press release from the county, although the construction of the county’s portion of High Plains Boulevard – WCR 9.5 from WCR 32 to 34 – has been underway for several months, the start of roundabout construction marks one of the first major milestones in the project.
