Loveland business Coulson Excavating is preparing to open a 50-acre gravel mining project between the Thompson River Ranch subdivision and Thompson Crossing. Previously, residents living in the surrounding area protested the project because of concerns like pollution, noise and traffic.
Following multiple civil cases, the company is looking to move the mining project along and asked the town for assistance in meeting return flow obligations required in the group’s augmentation plan.
