MILLIKEN – The Board of Trustees met on August 27 to review the proposed amendment to the town’s intergovernmental agreement with the Weld RE-5J School District regarding the joint school resource officer program.
Benito Garcia, Milliken Police Department’s chief of police, presented the item and explained that the town entered into an agreement with the school district in September 2021 for a joint school resource officer. However, Garcia said that since then the school district has undergone many changes, and the presented amendment change addresses these changes.
