The 3A 4th ranked Roosevelt Rough Rider football team opened up the season hosting 4A’s 20th ranked Northfield Nighthawks last Friday night. It was a perfect night for a football game at Randall Hess Stadium, and the sold-out crowd was thoroughly entertained as the Riders rolled their way to victory 35-0.
“Yeah, that was a good one,” said head coach Lane Wasinger. “Everyone played hard, and it was the brand of football we want to play here at Roosevelt High School. We certainly look like a far more experienced team than we did last season.”
