Forget the calendar. Saturday is the unofficial start of summer as Johnstown celebrates BBQ Day.
As always, the day starts off early with the Front Range Fire Rescue firefighters’ pancake breakfast from 5 to 9 a.m. at the FRFR station house in Johnstown, located at 100 Telep Ave. Cost is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors 65 and older and $5 for kids 11 and under. The breakfast typically features pancakes, eggs, sausage, potatoes and drinks. Proceeds help fund the department.
