Around Town

Around Town
The Roosevelt High School FFA dairy evaluation team was recognized last week by the Weld County Commissioners. The team won the state championship in April, competing against 1,800 students from across the state, and will now travel to Indianapolis in late October to compete at the National FFA convention. Team members Maylin and Dakota Bernard also received high and second-place individual recognitions, respectively, while Markus Gardner and Ella Stirewalt received gold and silver awards, respectively. Congratulations to the team. Got a picture for Page 3? An item for Around Town? Send them to [email protected]. Photo provided by Weld County

In this week’s Breeze you’ll find the 2025 Roosevelt High School graduation supplement. This project is a newsprint labor of love by us here at The Breeze to recognize each student, look at what they did in high school, and what their plans are for the future. It’s a lot of work, but it’s worth it.

This project could not be done without the help of the Weld RE-5J staff and administration. Special thanks to RHS teacher Jennifer Boresen for helping to compile the student profiles and to Breeze intern Sarah Beal for typesetting. A special thank you as well to the local businesses who graciously agreed to sponsor students.
