I enjoy watching Nuggets basketball and Broncos football. Yet, I am concerned about constant advertising and their messages. One ad showed that God drinks alcohol! My church promotes love, and it does not believe we should participate in choices that can cause addictions or can bring harm. John Wesley did write that one should drink beer, in moderation. But that was because at his time beer was the only way to get clean water! “But we do need to be conscious and aware of what we are putting into our bodies and how we are living.” (Pastor Jeremy Scott) With that in mind, consider the following data regarding advertisements during a recent Denver Nuggets game.
