Milliken author Dan Jorgensen’s newest mystery- thriller book, titled “Devil’s Thumb,” takes place in the Black Hills in 1925 and follows U.S. Marshal Al Twocrow who finds himself caught up in a murder case, a bootleg whiskey operation and the kidnapping of a local newspaper reporter.
“Devil’s Thumb” takes place in the quiet mining town of Keystone, South Dakota. The state is about to begin one of the most ambitious carving efforts of all time, Mount Rushmore, when the discovery of two vicious murders threatens the future of the project.
